Is it really free?

Yes. No money changes hands. We do not pay our tutors, we do not pay our admin team and we do not take money from our students.

How do I sign up?

Best way to sign up is to join our learning platform called Ryver. Follow the link here. Once you do, you can see all the classes, join the forum for the class, message other students and tutors.

I want to study quantum physics but you don’t offer it.

This is very much a DYI student-led project. If you want something to happen, you are welcome to organise it with support from us and other students. Alternatively, please contact us on Ryver or through email and we will do our best to help.

Where do the classes take place?

Before the pandemic we were based on South-East London. However, we are sticking with online classes for a bit longer, given that winter is a peak time for covid-19 infections.

Who is going to teach me?

Our tutors come from a range of backgrounds and situations. Most of them are qualified to Masters or PhD level and a lot of them teach in formal institutions.

Is the course accredited?

Accreditation is a long and complex process where the Queen gives an official permission to an organisation to call itself a ‘university’. There are many requirements the organisation has to fulfil, including support a certain number of students. We do not currently have the capacity to do so and therefore do not have official accreditation. However, our courses are of the same level as other university courses, and attending a few years of classes at FUL is equivalent to a degree in terms of the knowledge one has acquired.
